Face Reading Tip: Public vs Private
Have you ever wondered why we shake hands right hand to right hand, and hug right shoulder to right shoulder?
Interesting concept right?
As illustrated in the graphic, the body is split vertically in two parts (the graphic shows only the face though), the “Public” side and the “Private” side. The person’s right side (to clarify, its NOT the right side as you’re looking at them, its their right side) is the Public side, and the left side is their personal side.
Another example of this is, as we in the U.S. (and a few other countries) wear our wedding rings typically on the left hand, or the personal side of the body.
Is this cool, or is this cool?
So for those of you who sell for a living, you may be wondering how this can help you in business.
Well, for example, there’s a feature I teach in my workshops that indicates how a person spends money! How cool is this?! ..to know if they’re more conservative or if they are a big spender!!!!
Some people are the same across the board, and others are either big spenders or more conservative in one area of another.
For instance, say your product/service is related to something they would use in their personal live vs their professional life, you would look at that feature on their right side to indicate how you would adjust the conversation according to that.
Face reading really is a powerful tool in the selling process in a multitude of ways.
